Music is a very important part of worship as it gives us a chance to transition from hectic, daily activities to settle our hearts and prepare for prayer and the Word. Many people are under the impression that a particular style of worship is insisted upon at Calvary Chapel. That style is assumed to be the soft contemporary sound made popular by Maranatha! Music and Asaph Records (both of which originated at Calvary Chapel). Although most Calvary Chapels do utilize a form of contemporary worship, there is actually a great variety of styles of music found in our churches, including conservative traditional types of worship. Whatever the style of worship though, our greatest desire is that it comes from our hearts.

We at Calvary Chapel are a combination of diverse people from all ages, with different church backgrounds and worship styles. Yet we come together in unity to worship in song with one common focus: to bring glory to Jesus Christ and to know and love Him more intimately.
